Agrium Offers Huge Support to the United Way!
UWSEI announces that Agrium has raised a total of $20,261 in their annual giving campaign. The money was raised by employees at Agrium this past fall. This contribution helps nearly 80,000 local people by preparing more kids to graduate and succeed in life, helping more families to leave poverty permanently and by enabling more people to live healthy, responsible lives.
Agrium gemerously matches employee contributions. Agrium's campaign representative, Mark Kirby, was delighted to present the United Way of Southeastern Idaho with a check for $10,055 as their corporate match. He also presented $3,800 raised through various fundraising activities which took place at the plant. This included a silent auction, a penny raffle, a random drawing for an elk tag for employees who participated in the United Way Campaign, and nearly $1,300 which was raised by offering employees weekly cooked lunches.
This is the fourth year that Agrium has been involved in the UWSEI campaign. This is by far their biggest campaifn to date and MArk says that the fundraising activities really helped to encourage participation this year. Robin Nelson of UWSEI was amazed and excited by the generosity of the Agrium employees and commented, "they should be proud of their achievements and know that their dollars will be working hard in the community all year round."
